Why do you need to change security?
In order for rTools to build reports for you, rTools must open additional excel spreadsheet templates. By default, Excel is set to not allow add-ins to perform this action. In order for rTools to generate real-time reports from your Sage ACCPAC database, rTools uses Microsoft Query and ODBC to read your database and VBA Programs (Macros) to process the results into a report. Again, Excel does not allow this by default.
Is changing security dangerous? Yes...
However, all Kode101 Inc's software is digitally signed, allowing you to keep your Macro security set to High.

Step 1: Select Excel Options
Step 2: Trust Center
Step 3: Trust Center Settings
Step 4: Add new location
Step 5: Set the trusted Path
XP - C:\Program Files\Kode101\
Vista - C:\Users\Public\Kode101\
Step 6: Select Macro Settings
Step 7: Trust access to the VBA project object model
Step 8: Finished
