Add Peachtree companies to rTools

If you have not done so, you must first complete the Peachtree 2010 ODBC Setup

By default, your database user is Crystal and there is no password

Step 1: Determining your System DSN

1. Open your Control Panel

2. Double-click on Administrative Tools

3. Double-click on ODBC Data Sources

4. Click on the System DSN tab

5. Note the System Data Source Name

If you don't see your company listed, you will need to complete the Peachtree ODBC setup.

Step 2: Determining your Database Id

By default, your Database Id is your company name without spaces or any characters such as apostrophes or periods. The maximum length is 20 characters.

Example: Mower's Growers Association => MOWERSGROWERSASSOCIA

1. From the ODBC Data Source Administrator window above, click Configure

2. Note the Database Name

Note: the Database Name field is to small to properly display all 20 characters. As yet, we are unable to determine how to display the remaining characters. However, they will be the same as the letters in your company name.
